Our Lady, who is the bearer of the Word made flesh, remains filled to overflowing with God's Word, even after she gives birth. Mary lived in the overflow of God's grace. She abided in the love of the Most Blessed Trinity.
At the Wedding Feast of Cana, she recognizes the wedding party has run out of wine. She intercedes before her Son, that he would manifest His power and spare embarrassment for the couple. In many ways, Our Lady desires to see the glory of her Son unleashed; His Messianic power poured forth on the world.
Our Lady is a mediatrix of mercy. She goes to Jesus for us, interceding before her Son, pleading:
"They have no wine" (John 2:3 RSVCE). She beseeches her Son to pour forth the divine life in our souls and those of the whole world; that we too would be pregnant with the Word and bearers of His presence everwhere we go.
