woman of today's Gospel meditation,
who is a "sinner", demonstrates tremendous courage as she expresses her love for Jesus in the midst of a crowd that would have been hostile towards her. She boldly washes Jesus' feet with her tears, dries them with her hair, and anoints them with oil. She does not care what anyone thinks, nothing will keep her from pouring out her love for Jesus. Why does she do this? Because she knows she has been forgiven much. When you know, that you know, that you know, you have been forgiven by the Lord, and you no longer walk in condemnation, guilt or shame, you will proclaim the Lord's mercies from the rooftops. Or in the case of this woman, it will flow out of you, even in the midst of a hostile crowd.
